If your like me, your probably sick of reading the same topics posted over and over. I have to admit ,I'm guilty of it too. We are driving each other crazy trying to obtain new info from ford, but ford is keeping everything hush .So now I have written Ford twice and both times I have acctually heard from a real person ,NOT a pre-written response.Ford is watching these e-mails and likes feed back on the new mustang interest. The letter also stated that Ford does listen to the consumer and is interested in the suggestions and opinions.
So e-mail ford and show your interest. This might hurry them along. i'm sure they want their new mustang out so people can enjoy at least some of the summer with it. Having difficulty e-mailing ford at ford.com. Go to ASK KATE and say no when they ask if your question has been answered. It will give you an e-mail address to write. When an interesting response has been given by Ford,PLEASE SHARE

We were supposed to hear official pricing on May 24th. Ford didn;t announce it though, obviously, for an undisclosed reason. Most people on here suspect it will be in August. It's in Ford's best interest to wait until then anyway... determine how much people are willing to pay. Remember, the most profitable sales are the people that impulse buy and the ones that "just have to have this, Oh my God!"

Who sets the timing??

Oh yeah, Ford Execs who spent months on a launch strategy, including figuring the best time to feed dealers info, take orders, release pricing .... and probably spending millions with "agency partners" to determine the strategy ..... but they will walk away from that plan 'cause some hick in backwater wherever "needs" to know what the final price of his car will be and e-mail's the corp.
Dont see that happening. Ford will release pricing / info on their schedule, the dealers will then decide how much you really have to pay for that first car anyway, and no one on this board is going to change that.
By the way ... once you get the Exec's to spill all their info on the Mustang ... please Email Iraq and get them to knock it off, see if you can do something about the snow in North Dakota during February, and maybe get Colorado into the Stanley Cup Finals cause it would help ratings and they are a better team anyway.

Imagine the frustration of Mustang enthusiasts since the sixties. No internet to keep them aware of what was going on. Heck, I was a teen during the 80's and we had nothing then too. Thank God my mother sold Fords back then, or I wouldn't have known crap.
Be patient. Sometimes the surprises are best.

All I'm saying is that maybe putting pressure on ford may cause them to leak some info. first of all!!I'm no hick!! This will be my 5th mustang purchased. If you think that ford doesNOT listen to the buyer. You got to be from another planet. I work for a very large corporation and a lot of decisions are taken into consideration by our consumers. They are the ones that are that are acctually giving us a pay check. ford cares about the mustang buyer. do you remember when ford was about to discontinue the mustang to replace it with the probe. Yeah that is a fact. It was the mustang buyers out there who spoke up and told ford they would be making a big mistake. Since then ford has concenteated on continuing makin the mustang an American icon which has resulted in a huge % increase in mustang sales over the last 15 years

Couple of points:
First ... As a stock holder in major corporations, I hope they always take the customer's opinion into mind when making decisions. I just hope they do it up front, in the planning process, and do not change their position / strategy based on a few (or even hundreds) of emails ... when they are trying to sell hundreds of thousands of vehicles. (and support hundreds of thousands of workers and their families).
Second ... I belive their plan is probably in place, and changing it now, is kinda like turning a freighter in a river. There are times when you can do it, and there are times when its impossible. And even when its possible, it takes planning ahead and a heck of a lot of resources to accomplish. Maybe they will release pricing a few weeks earlier because of your request ... but I doubt it and it would scare me if they did.
Third ... I am sorry for the hick comment. That was not intended to be aimed directly at you, but rather to describe a single outsider that was not integrally involved in the planning process and seams to think he/she could do it better. Guess a better term would have been "arm chair quarterback"? But I am sorry for any offense taken.
Fourth ...I hope you were not argueing that because this is your 5th mustang, you are automatically not a hick ... cause I think those two points are not connected. Hick status would not be proven or cleared based on owning 5 mustangs.
Fifth .... Regarding the Mustang / Probe decision. Again, I hope the boys in Dearborn did a little business case analysis looking into the profitability of keeping or ditching the Mustang brand, and not just re-acting to a faction of the owners. Keeping or killing a brand is a BILLION dollar decision (actually more) and should not be based on how many letters you get (unless the letters have enclosed signed contracts that amount to purchase commitments for more than 100,000 units per year). And in the Mustand decision, clearly Ford made the right call in continuing the brand.
Sixth ... please do get them to release the info ... then work on the Colorado playoff thing 'cause this Calgary / Tampa series is killing the ratings, which kills revenue, which may just kill the sport.
