so ive been having this strange clunking sound coming from my front end. it happens every time i brake hard and momentum shifts the weight of the car. it also happens when im slowly going over bumps/speed bumps. all when the weight is being transfered. im thinking its ball joints. any other opinions?

i'd check the strut nuts. if they get even a little loose it'll cause all kinds of racket with the struts-c/c plates

Yeah, could be struts. Get the front up on jackstands and inspect everything. Check the tie rods and ball joints while you are at it...

jack the car and inspect the tire to check the tie rods, then you can look at the ball joints. rule them out first
