Comp suggested a cam...

As many people suggested, I e-mailed comp asking them what cam they suggested and he suggested a cam I have never heard of before:

I would run this part #31-412-4, this is one of my specialty cams. It
is kind of a small cam with a tight seperation, which will provide torque and
the sound you are looking for. Here is the spec card for that cam.

chances are he seems to know what he's talking about. If he were just blowing smoke, he probably wouldn't waste his time and just tell you to get the 262.

It looks like a combo between the 260 and 268, which could be interesting. Email him back and ask him to compare it to the 262, and why that would be better. But honestly, the difference will probably only be a few rpms, horses, and lb-feet as far as your powerband goes, so it should be okay either way.
 
That sounds like a cool cam to be honest. Yea, we all get caught up in bigger duration numbers, and if you're spinning 7000 rpm, it makes a really big difference; but, those numbers don't look bad with a 108 LSA!! You'll like the sound of that.....lope....lope.... lope.... lope! If you're really more interested in pull from 2500-6000, then go with the 268.
