Then you are lucky. I dont know what kind of cam you have but if it was any stage 2 like vt or comp cams you got really lucky. How have you never heard of piston to valve contact. Just cause it seems fine doesnt mean anything, my buddy had 262s in his 98gt for about 8 months and it seemed to run fine then, but when we took the motor about you could tell by looking at the heads that he was having slight contact. It could have blown up at any time. This is the scariest part about putting cams in 96-04 mustangs and why I was alittle hesatint on putting 262s in my 04 gt that only had 10,000 miles on it. To say that degreeing them is easy, then you have never degreed cams. I couldnt do it, you have to have the kit and modify some tools, so I took my car to Darrin at bc-atomotive, who I met on ************, and he did it and tuned it. My cams were off 4 degrees from each other, and without checking them I would have never known and it down the road could have cost me my motor. Sorry for the rambeling but I think it is important to get the word out to not just slap your cams in and call it a day cause it may seem fine but one day booooom.
