Hmm, lemme throw a brain twister at ya, where did i say that you said that they come with a free spoiler/wheels? I said you assume, seeing as you so kindly quoted yourself "That mg "CAR" in the pic thread w/ the clear/chrome tails looks f'n stupid." You said the "CAR", you didnt say the taillights specifically, infering that you are judging the car overall by the spoiler and wheels. Feel me ?

I would also challenge you to quote me on where i say that i absolutely love these taillights as you seem so intent on proving that there is such a majority of people who feel that their car looks the best by making it look like everyone elses haha. I am merely sticking up for the minority, and giving an unbiased opinion. But hey if a vote makes your E-peen bigger go for it, i would be interested in seeing how many people prefer stock vs aftermarket taillights, that is unless you are a fan of the tinted tails Then we have to have a whole nother defintion of stuff that you deem as ricey, cause i guarentee you that there are plenty of people that will argue tinted taillights were born and perfected by people with imports on which we so much despise lol. Let us also not again forget our younger 6 cylinder stang brothers It does appear that my hopes of opening your mind a bit has been unsuccessful hehe, that is fine, like i said everyone is entitled to their opinions. If it was up to you we would probably all be driving the same exact car with the same exact "subtle mods" haha. I am glad however that we can agree on a few things hehe I will tell you on that owning the gt500 over the evo, though im not much fond of the new mustang styles, that would be my first pick. Another on Obama sucking, and one last one for not getting into a name calling, cave man style bashing debate hah. Really fun actually, dont know why though hehe. Good luck bro and be careful up there, dem bloods and cryps be at it real talk G-unit. lol Who knows maybe in 10 more years when i get your age i will have the same stubborn feeling towards these kinds of things

I know what you're saying, but the only one making assumptions was you. I was talking specifically about the tail lights, and though I didn't specify you assumed I was talking about the tail lights, wing, and wheels in the picture.

I don't think it would be a good thing if everyone made their car look the same. I also didn't say that you love the clear tail lights, but you must like them if you are defending them.

The issue here is clear tail lights and not tinted tail lights nor aftermarket tail lights. I feel the same way about factory clear tail lights such as those on the Altima and Focus.

Do tinted tails look good, of course they do on certain cars. Corvette owners were tinting their tail lights long before Civic owners anyways.

I'd love to have a vote. Perhaps I'll create a new thread. What's all this talk about e-peen's

*buries face in hands* There is a long list of cars on this forum with owners that have done tasteful mods, yet their cars do not look the same.

yep, as I get older I notice myself getting more stubborn and more pissed off w/ the increased load of work and responsibilities related both to my job and at home w/ a kid (2nd one on the way). I'm not even 30 yet

We don't hear about bloods or crips much here in Minnepolis, but I do see Gangsta' Disciples tagged sometimes

Nothing wrong with a yellow stang as long as it doesn't have altezza's, a huge wing, 20"+ wheels, or fake chrome stick on vents. Now lets see some pics!

Haha, yeah, i do make assumptions, but then again i think we all ready know im an A** lol. I think we both have fair arguements and opinions. Not defending the tails, just looking out for the minority, because if we supress people from expressing theirselves then we do not progress thats a lot of esses. LOL. Gotta have some guy out there in his garage coming up with new ideas and inventions. Oh and E-peen.... haha, this came from urbandictionary.com

Epeen-
(noun) short for "Electronic PEnis ENlargement".
Behavior quite commonly found on online discussion boards or similar, where some looser tries to establish his superiority - and thus the merit of his or her opinion - by stating how skilled and awesome he or she is, rather than forming a sound argument.
Generally also used to condescendingly refer to someones ego.

Without further adue i give you my car haha, first mustang ive owned, and love it. I had a huge notepad of mods/ideas that i will do to my car when i get it, i got the car and then decided after seeing in person some things look and feel to good to change

I need to get a SIG hehe

LOL, i love how you instantly jump to the conclusion that once this guy starts to look at clear tailights you instantly assume that hes gonna be adding spoilers, fart cannons, and chrome doodads. But you know what they say about assumptions. Let us not forget that we have our "handicapped" v6 stang in our family. I also love that you mention "tasteless ridiculous mods" yet i just finished reading your post on painting the running horse on your steering wheel with a sharpie! Nice one, aint that the pot calling the kettle RICER LOL. No hard feelings just pointing out the obvious As for the guy who is actually interested in these lights, please let me know if you buy them

I'm not assuming he's going to add anything but the lights. I was just equating the lights to the other common ricer mods that currently ugly up our roads.
As for the running horse, I never painted it with a sharpie or anything else. I agree that would be a tasteless ridiculous thing to do. However at the time of that post, I was looking to add a few subtle silver touches to my interior without going all out billet crazy. I saw a post where someone had a silver pony on their steering wheel, and it looked pretty good. I was merely trying to figure out how to make mine silver. I never did it. I would however consider some sort of silver overlay if one were available, and looked factory.

Hmmm, maybe i am retarded but can someone explain how, "assuming he's going to add anything but the lights", and "I was just equating the lights to other common ricer mods" are different? LOL you are basically saying the same thing as assuming but instead by not actually using the word. Either way, i dont care, i think grown adults can decide for themselves what they want to do, they may be ridiculed here, just not by me lol. Well, maybe if i see a v8 gt stang with 22's and lambo doors, i may just have to decide not to comment on that thread. Haha, the guy mentioned that he was pretty set on getting these lights in his first post so now he can make up his mind Good luck!

Also what happened with that "war"?

OH MY GOSH, MY HERO! We may be related....Haha, nah im not sure that i would go quite as far as he did with his Stang. Although i will admit there are a few unique touches that i like. Im 4 pages in so far! hehe Its a whole different ball game where he is, its like what British people would think if they saw a bright orange mustang going down there roads hah, from watching Topgears they usually talk down onto our Domestic cars. I would say he made a fair arguement so far

Wow. I missed out on that first time round. I thin that POS sets the record for number of "Mustang" decals on one car. And how about those yellow seats to help remind you its a "GT" four times over...

Why didnt I think of selling the "MUSTANG" E brake and "GT" cup holder combo.
Maybe I'll take it one step further and install 200 decals that just say "CAR".

O.p. you're gonna catch hell b/c the guys here are traditionalists when it comes to the way the mustang should carry itself. Anything that screams "Look at me," will defiantly get chastise and even more so on the this forum.

HAHA, yeah im gonna have to work on those paragraph things. I agree to a certain extent on how the people called "traditionalists" view the cars. Like i mentioned earlier, try taking one of those "traditional" mustangs over to London, and see how they react lol. Oh yeah, i think that "look at me" factor flew out the window a long time ago when i bought a Yellow GT with no cats haha

Some of you really need to get a life.
It's one thing to have an opinion and then it's quite another to be insulting.
First of all it is a car. Second of all, it is NOT your car.
I always get a kick out of some of the members on here who will give their "opinion" sometimes to the point of being rude and insulting and yet anything they do on their car is ok no matter what and if no one likes it they must be stupid.
Doesn't this forum have moderators and some kind of rules against members being insulting and rude to other members? Or does having been a long time member or having some high post whore count automatically grant those members a free pass to act like morons and be insulting to others who happen to also share the same interest in a certain make and model of automobile?
Some of you sound like grade schoolers who think you own this playground or something.

When you ask a question on a pubic forum you need to understand that some may not like what you want to do. No-one personally attacked anyone, rather we had a discussion about whether or not that type part looked good. Did anyone say "OP you're f'kn stupid and a loser for putting on clear tails" no, rather we people said things like "ditch the ricer look."

You're right not everyone likes my car. In fact Shaolin Crane made a thread with a list of girl cars and actually used a picture of my car to describe all SN95 aero's as girly cars. Did I get upset about it? No, rather we had some laughs about it and moved on. If you're going to ask opinions on a public forum, be prepared for the responses.

Wyldpony would you expect people not to look at you funny if you went out in public wearing a short pink dress, yellow tights, and a beard? You can do what you want, and if ricing out your car makes you happy that's great. Just beware that there are many who won't like what you've done to your car and some will tell you they don't.

I certainly didn't modify my car to satisfy the masses, I modified it to what i think looks good. It just so happens I have very similar tastes to most car enthusiasts out there.

Agreed.
One thing I learned quickly on this forum is to have a really thick skin.
The second thing I learned is that like on many internet forum, there are sadly those people who will say things to someone hiding behind their computer screen that they would never say to them face to face in person. What some members need to try and keep in mind is before pressing send, maybe not even reply if what your going to say over the internet is not something you would actually say to someone in person. Good rule of thumb

As I always say, "To each his own"

and exactly who decides what is the "ricer" look?

Like I said, there is asking for and getting differing opinions and then there is getting the moronic ricer and ghey comments

Yeah, wearing a pink dress with yellow tights is so the same thing as what we are actually talking about here, not...

and I fixed your last comment:
I certainly didn't modify my car to satisfy the masses, I modified it to what I think looks good. It just so happens I have very similar tastes to some of the more vocal car enthusiasts on this forum.
