Compression tester adapter stuck in Plug hole

as the title says, the female 14mm adapter is stuck snuggly in the plug hole and i cant twist it out with the hose attachment (it works fine righty tightly, but leftly loosey it is not gripping the adapter out of the hole and therefore only the hose comes out
I have been to Sears to find a socket that would fit over the adapter portion but the socket doesnt even fit down the hole...
Does anyone have any ideas?
I was thinking about using an epoxy to mate the hose/male piece to the female part of the adapter and hopefully when i try to unsrew it the hose will be locked onto the adapter for removal..
DOES anyone have any ideas?!?! I raelly hope i can get this out, dont even want to think of ideas of head removal etc....

Mystic1350:

I'm a bit slow on this topic but do you mean that the compression testing plug is stuck in the threads or stuck in the "well"?

You can get 'thin-wall' sockets (I know this for certain). If you have an AutoZone nearby, you can rent tools for free (requiring a 100% refundable deposit). They ought to have thin-wall sockets in their storehouse.

Have you cut a bit of the hose off? A fresh section might be more grippy than one that has been in use for a while. Also, clean out the rubber with rubbing alcohol so that there are no contaminants (slippery stuff) in the tubing.

I'll try to get my tryptophan-laden brain thinking about this problem while you're out in the garage.

One last thing: can you pull a vacuum on the hose to get it to clamp down on the test fitting? A Mity-Mite hand vac pump should be in your toolbox so if you don't have one, go get one.
