Computer Chip Help

Can I get a chip that will advance the timing instead of installing a T/A Adjuster? I am having 3.73's installed this weekend and thought I could get a chip to do both adjustments. I am not familiar with the chips and what they are capable of doing. Can someone give me the chip 101 class? Where is it, what can it accomplish where can I buy them. I have an o1 Gt 5 speed. Everyday driver and don't want to go radical I just want to give it a little more kick. Any help is appreciated.

Hey Dave,
Briefly....yes, a chip will advance/retard timing when you get it tuned. Do it when you get your gears installed so they can tune for your speedo correction, timing, air fuel ratio as well. JMS, Autologic, Diablosport are just some of the companies that sell chips. You can also have your stock computer reflashed for similar results.

here's my vote for an sct custom chip from modular depot. got mine for 300 bucks. t/a, ses light shut-off, corrected speedo, egr shutuff, whatever u want. u can pm him, he's KenB. or www.modulardepot.com i am not a paid spokesman, just a happy customer.
