Last weekend I installed a B-303 cam in my 91 vert. On Saturday the car started and I had it running good. After starting and running several times it would not start again. Sunday morning it again started right off but after I shut it off it would not start again. I started trying to track down the problem and discovered that I had not tightened the ground cable from the battery to the engine. It was barely finger tight at the timing cover. During the time I was trying to start it, the smaller ground cable that grounds the computer was getting very hot and was starting to burn up. After I tightened the ground the problem of the wire getting hot seemed to stop. Now any time I leave the car alone for more than 8 or so hours, the car will start up and run for a little while and then shut off. When I try to start it the fuel pump comes on when the key is on but will not shut off. I'm not getting any voltage to any of the TPS wires when it won't start. I put a test light on the two wires going into each injector and I have juice going to the injectors but they are not functioning unless I poke into the other wire of the injectors. When I do this I can hear the injector pulse. After I manually pulse an injector I can hear that cylinder try to fire if I crank it over, but only the cylinder that I had manually forced the injector to pulse. I ran a code scan and couldn't even get that to work at first but after letting the car set for a night again I tried the scanner again this morning and got a code 63 and code 85 with the key on and ignition off. When this scan was done the fuel pump had primed and shut off like it was supposed to. As soon as the scan was done, turning the key on again and the fuel pump runs continuously again. I've replaced the distributor and tested the ICM multiple times and it shows to be working. I am really thinking that it may be my computer now since I initially started with such a poor ground connection. Could I have fried my computer during this? Would the car still start every day and the computer still be ruined? It will always start one time every day but after it dies it will not start again and a code scanner will not read anything. I'm sorry this is such a long post, just wanted to include all the info I could before I posted. I'm really puzzled at this point and need all the help I can get. Thanks for all
