From reading mm+ff, I guess 94-95s have a computer that doesnt respond to mods all that well, in other words, if you buy a cam, your gonna have a sucky idle. . .

Has anyone done the computer retrofit to fix this problem? what mods are you restricted to if you dont replace your comp?

Pro M makes a PIH (Plug In Harness) which allows you to swap in an A9L Fox computer. These older computers appear more 'mod' friendly and don't REQUIRE a tune after nonextreme cam and head changes. Most people say that this is only a band-aid and is NOT a custom solution. They say the 94/95 computer is actually better, it just needs 'tweeked'. If your cam is even somewhat mild, you will run into idle/drivability issues, I did. You have more options besides the PIH, you can get a chip, a tweecer, PMS, or EEC tuner. I chose the PIH route. I'm doing the swap next month.

Oh yea, I almost forgot. If you do the PIH swap you will need an aftermarket ignition.

95strokerPSU-how much did you gain after the swap? Which crower cam are you running?

How did your car react after the swap?

Some cams out there will work fine with the 94-95 computer. Usually these cars don't like a lobe separation under 112 degrees or a duration over 226. I have stuck with the stock cam just for the reason of having something to brag about. The Anderson B-cam would really wake a car like mine up with almost no driveability problems.
