What exaclty does swapping the computer out of a 95' to an older model such as a 93' encompass? Is it a plug and play operation so to speak or do I need all new harnesses, etc??? Thanks
...just trying to see if anyone knows how difficult the swap is? is it just as easy as unbolting my stock computer and plugging in the 93' or is it a little more difficult?
The 93 computer won't work in the 95, the pin layout is different in the 95. The 95 computer won't work in the 93 car for the same reason. There are some signals in the 95 that aren't present in the 93 computer. See http://fordfuelinjection.com/5.0Lpinouts.html for more info.
...it's not stalling but it has a fairly wicked surge under 2000rpm, I hear its common on 94/95s...I'm worried that just a chip won't cut it, just looking for advice before I spend the $$$$
