I'm in need of advice dealing with the computer in my car. The computer dosen't like the cam I put in. Come to find out 94 -95 need at least 115 degree lobe separation and I currently have 112 degrees. I have to reset my computer every 800 miles or so, it won't idle after that. Here are the options I'm looking at.

#1) Change to a9l computer. This requires a harness from Pro-flow. Cost is about $280 plus an a9l computer. Problem is that it's still a stock computer.

#2) Get it tuned on a dyno and a custom chip burned. Cost is about $400. Problem is if I make mods later I'll need to get the chip reburned at about $50 - $75 a time.

#3) Get something like Tweecer or EEC-Tuner. Cost is about $350 - $500, plus price of laptop. I maybe getting a new laptop from work. Problem is the steep learning curve, but there are good support groups for this (Sounds like an addiction ) . WIll this really fix my problem?

#4) Get a cam with at least 115 degree lobe separation to work with the existing computer. Cost is about $180 plus gaskets and fluids. Problem is that I'd have to tear into my engine again.

There's my delimma (sp). What do you think?
