Gettin my block rebuilt, all the machine work done, with a new set of 1969 351w heads ported and polished, edelbrock preformer intake, 70mm throttle body, and i just got this job at a engine building place and I ask about what kind of cam I should go with and I tell them i was thinking about a b303 and that eventually I plan on spraying it with just like 100hp shot for the occasional drag race. and according to one or two guys, they tell me it wont run because of the fuel injection and I need a custom grind for the NO2...Now this totally conflicts with everything I have read on here or in mags. Im completely overwhelmed on all the information on cams and im having a hard time making sense of it all.. And another thing is thru my work i can get a hell of a deal on a comp cam but have no idea what one to get... Been doin all my research on the ford racing cams.. So if anyone knows whats the best comp cam for my setup, or the closest to a b cam...I dont want anything too radical, but not too mild, nice lope on the idle, pistons are new but same as stock, its a 5 speed car so vaccum isnt too big an issue....I dont know... Any info is greatly appreciated

I wouldn't run a b cam anyway.I have seen comp tell people to run cams that aren't big enough for the motor to.I like the TFS 1 cam it sounds good makes good power and it likes spray.Custom grinds are way to much money.

andi called comp cams and they told me to go with a 512lift, 218intake 224exhaust duration, and 114 lobe separation...that sound descent? or anyone else runnin that cam? its a 35-351-8 part number

Ok.. the B cam gets hammered again!! LOL. Just me.... but I prefer to build a strong N/A engine and camshaft.. and use the NOS as a boost!! true, a specific NOS grind will yeild more ponies..ON THE BOTTLE. and with the bottle empty, you loose some n/a power. There are a bazillion guys running the FMS B cam and rocking the world, esp on the bottle!! Ported 351W heads and the B303 cam will work killer for you.. and when you look at cost of the B303 vs the 230-250 of the comp cam... believe me the cam they picked out will NOT out pull the B303!! Yes it does favor the exhaust.. and yes that is a plus for the NOS... however the ported Exhaust will work for that... the TFS1 also favors the exhaust side and both the TFS1 and the B303 are the cheaper of the hyd rollers out there... but throw the money out... IF you put the three cams in the engine ( lol one at a time..lol) you would see NO differance, or at least the B303 pulling a little stronger... but hey, this is
