Just curious, when you guys are putting after market lower control arms on your car, maybe it just me but seems like the sway bar has tension on it now(or preload I think its referred to?). I started with some cheap ones from summit(which blow it hard btw) and noticed that the sway bar was located from a neutral position inside the factory arms to a tensioned position inside the two control arms now. I kept blowing the same passenger side, axel end bushing on my LCA's and didnt know if that was causing it? I wouldn't think so but I couldn't figure out how I could keep killing the same bushing twice now. I had the rear checked at the paint and body shop my cousin works at(they do alignments/frame checking) and its more than ok.

its a 2003 gt btw
thanks for the help

The sway bar should not have tension on it. Mine bolted right on with my Mega Bite Jr LCA's....BUT...I bought cheap control arms for my 91 notch. I could not get the sway bar back on!! The tabs were too close together. So I get to looking at them....they are welded on offset. So they are actually right and left. Bull$hit!!!!! That made me so mad! I look at the directions...NO indication on right or left!!! No stampings on the arms right or left!!! So I have been running no rear sway bar on my 91 for a year. I am not looking forward to pulling exhaust and swapping arms right to left just to add a rear sway bar.

True

exactly, the cheap ones I had said in the instructions that they were supposed to be a right and left arm, but...no stamping...no offset...nothing! right there I knew they were cheap. It just makes me feel like something is wrong with MY car, but the factory setup was just fine. should have left it alone...doh. but anyhow, I'm getting some MM arms now and some good advice from you guys. If I could ask for an opinion tho....I've read the threads on the HD versus the XD arms and was wondering have any new thoughts risen from owning either style? I see maybe 10 passes all year and drive it like I stole it every other day, so should the XD's be for me? MM website says in a nutshell they are fine for the street if you dont mind a little noise.

I have MM RLCA's and they are great btw, however i had no intention if keeping the rear sway bar on my car so idk if they will be a problem for you again. Just figured id let you kno that ive been drivin w.o the rear sway bar for about a year now and dont feel any difference. + i saved about 12lbs
+ a few extra lbs by ditching the quad shocks that arent needed if you go w. aftermarket RLCA's.

I just got a pair of UPR's adjustable RLCA's. Anyone out there have anything good/bad to say about them? They aren't on yet because i'm waiting to put them on at work (Ford) along with my FRPP c-springs. Here's maybe a supid question, whats the quad shock?

I would imagine it handles like its on rails with like no sway.

My car with sportlines and fricken strange drag struts handles like its on rails.

Add some control arms, tokico 5 ways, and some sway bars and its gotta handle really nice
