control arms and torque box reinforcement Q

I am going to be racing at Lime Rock this summer and want to upgrade my suspension setup quite a bit. I am already going to have full length subframe connectors eityher from Steeda or MM, as well as a custom roll-bar setup courtesy of Miller Race Cars.

I am going to be welding up the torque boxes and installing the upper and lower reinforcement plates, as well as adding a nice set of upper and lower control arms.

The questions for all the suspension gurus' out there is:
1. Who makes a really nice torque box reinforcment kit, and
2. What control arms are the best for my application, keeping in mind that it is a DD for know.

Any help from you guys is greatly appreciated.

(seach turned up nothing and Im already mad from work, so.......)

Best way to do it to make your own torque box reinforcement plates, just measure up - cut and weld, but you might have to fix cracks along the torque boxes due to the prolonged stress from previous hard driving

If you do replace the uppers, put in another set of oems or the h/d frpp ones. Most won't even change them (I didn't).

Just weld all the seams on the torque boxes...if you want, put some plates in, but it's not gonna matter unless you're running some serious power and MAJORLY stressing the boxes (like 500rwhp+ dead hook launches, etc.). Most all of the stress when the car is turning is going to be at the bushings, true a low compliance bushing (urethane or spherical) will introduce higher loads to the torque boxes, but honestly I don't think you'll have to worry about breaking anything at the conservative power levels you're at.

As far as best control arms, get Maximum Motorsports Heavy-Duty (HD) control arms. The XD's are a great control arm as well, and their road race arms too - but both will be far too noisy for a DD. Stock ford upper arms are pretty damn good, and do what they are supposed to (in a stock style 4link suspension setup atleast).
