Convert 1/8 to 1/4.... PLEASE

I'm trying to figure out what my car is capable of doing. The previous owner was a master at the strip, and got the car down to a 7.18 in the 1/8. With 2.73 rears. I can't remember what he said the MPH was, but can someone approximate how quick that is in the quarter?

I just called the last owner, he said the MPH was 102.4 with a 1.53 60'.

Really, mid to low 11's? For some reason I don't think its that fast. I've seen the slip from the 7.18 race, but it has worked on but STOCK heads and intake. 347 stroker, F cam and a few suspension goodies.

how can you compare 1/8 to 1/4... the 1/8 shows the bottom end but the 1/4 shows more top end...right? Not trying to sound sarcastic but im really wondering

Oh well, the guy is a hell of a driver, caught the light almost perfect. almost no spin, and banged every gear.

thing is.. theres to many variables that can effect a 1/8th to 1/4 conversion.. so its hard to justify anything with a simple mathematical equation.. its kinda like doing x=5-d(f+g).. you have to cut out half the variables to get any kind of answer.. and it wont even be correct

7.18 with stock heads and intake on a stroker... that Id LOVE to see. I knew a guy with one of the fastest R7 NA cars in the country and he was probably similar 1/8 times (11.20s in the 1/4) and had a wicked cam, ported to the hill heads, and a carb. If he did he has one of the fastest E7 cars out there, and congrats to him.

The heads have been ported quite a bit, and same with the intake. Still stock castings, but def. not stock passages.

I really doubt the turned those times, unless his race weight is way down there.

There are to many variables from 1/8th mile to 1/4 mile. All's you get is a rough estimate.

Still even with hogged out stock stuff, those times are extremely tough if not near impossible to get. The guy I mentioned is a racer. Owns his own shop, and the car is a straight up cutted track car. Prob weighs under 3000 lbs, top loader, spool, big gear, huge cam, etc... The only thing is I think he had a 306, not a stroker, but either way, running 7.1 with E7s and a stock intake... definately something Id like to hear more about from the owner (Id love to try running those times).

Race weight is 2948 lbs. I don't want to sound like a punk who is stuck on it, but I have seen the slip, and talked to him.

If you fly down to NC I'll let you take it down the strip and see what you can get.
