convert a 67-6cyl C4 over to a V8?

Can I convert a 67-6cyl C4 over to a V8 by just switching the converter and bell? I could count the splines and figure it out my self but the two transmissions are buried in a back corner of the garage. If this is doable the trans will be used only for limited use until I get the V8 one rebuilt.

It should all bolt up with V8 bell and tc. There are internal differences that make them weaker, but a few people claim to have run them w/o trouble.

I did this on my coupe when I converted it over. It worked for about 2 weeks behind my 351.
