okay, i just got the 86 GT convertible back together after a full urethane suspension rebuild, 87 GT front brake upgrade, new struts and brakes, and ring and pinion/posi swap, and FRPP B springs.

how likely am I to need caster camber plates? who has done B springs on a convertible before, and did you need them?

I have "C" springs which are basically the same as "B"'s except the front rate is higher on the "C". You may have a bumpsteer problem as the cars before '90 did when lowered. I have Hotchkis "CC" plates on my '90 along with urethane stock style rack bushings. The diff in the '90 and up cars is the tie rod ends that allows the cars to be lowered they say. I set my alignment at Hotchkis's spec and haven't had a problem in 12 years. Car is also a Sunday driver and in those 12 yrs has added only 15K in mileage. Tires wear great. I have 245-45-17 tires all around. Hope this helps.

I run c springs with no cc plates . Never any issues. frpp springs dont justify the extra cash for the plates in my book

parts catalogs list the same rack and pinion AND tie rod ends for an 86 and a 91 mustang. what difference are you speaking of?

do you know the alignment specs your car is set with?

i wouldnt think id need the offset rack bushings with a lowering of only 1", but i was wondering about the C/C plates. i guess ill find out this week when i take it for an alignment.
