convertible headliner

hi there
new to the forum, first post
i recently bought some stuff from a guy
includeing a convertible boot and set of shop manuals for my 87 gt
the guy gave me a headliner that he never put in his own 87 vert befor he sold it
anyone know where there a guide, instuction, or tips on how to install it
or where all the attachments go, i might be missing soem velcro he mentioned
i searched the forum and came up with very little info

Bought one of those from 50resto and had it installed with the new top. There were no instructions included with mine.

The guys at the shop said it required a lot of drilling to get it installed. It looks great now that its on there. My only issue with it is that the adhesive on the velcro they use is way too much and has a low melt point.

Here in S. TX, it was constantly melting off and leaving a gooey mess everywhere. I removed the male side, the female side is sewn to the headliner. I am going to try and replace it with some regular velcro with less adhesive.

If you live somewhere where the temp dosent exceed 80* it might be ok as is.

I am getting ready to install mine this next weekend I will let you know how it went.

yeah im in mass so the heat is not as much an issue as it is down south,

ive considered taking it to a convertible top place to have it installed, but its money of course

it should look much better once installed though,

id love to hear how the install goes, tales, tips, pictures are all apreciated
