convertible retracting problems

Hi Guys! Wondering if you could help me with this problem. When I retract the top on the stang the front end of the frame occasionally sticks on the plastic molding near the rear quarter window on the side facing in. It seals perfectly at the top. So I am wondering if there is something that can be adjusted, or will adjusting things mess up my alignment at the top end when closing it?

take it to the dealer and have them adjust it. that way, if something goes wrong, you dont have to buy a new top out of your own pocket.

Took mine back to the dealer and they fixed it. Worked fine. Take a look at the passenger side of the top near the rear side window. I noticed some wear. The dealer replaced the top - no questioned asked.

I found the problem the hardway. It was out of alignment because the frame rails were damaged, I had planned to see ford about fixing it anyway, but two of the frame rails actually snapped. Explains why it also seemed loose. Good thing for warranty!

Totally agree. Why mess with it yourself. let the dealer handle it.
