convertible winshield same as HB?

Hi folks. Does anyone know if an 88 hatchback and an 88 convertible use the same windshield?

I just scored a free parts car with some good glass.

I dont see why they would be differnt. A convertible starts out as a notch then it gets hacked.

Could be the same glass but possibly not because convertibles are a completely different body from the others. There's no roof for any kind of mechanical connection over the top so the uni-body has to be strengthened underneath. That's why convertibles are always the heaviest model in the line.

FWIW, the hatchback on a GT also represents a small weight penalty because of the extra metal needed to support the hinges in the roof.

Free parts cars are always good tho.

Same Windshield from 78-93. The hard part is taking all the Conv. moldings off with out bending them up.
