Converting stock 'scoop' to functional ram air

The scoop is not high enough in the airstream to be an effective scoop.

Also, by making it functional, you are increasing the drag on the car.

Well, if the scoop isn't in the main airstream, then its contribution to drag would be minimal.

Also, making it functional will actually decrease drag when contrasted to the same, but non-functional, scoop. Think about it, the air either enters the scoop or the air hits the fake grill. Which results in more resistance to the air?
