So Im heading to work yesterday at about dawn and come to a red light where a blue gto and what would be an awesome car if it wasnt a chevy product new black z06 are awaiting the green light. I pull up in the middle and the gto revs it at me, having such a lame exhuast note I ignore his desperate attempt to make his car look good. Then the z06 steps in with his wussy sounding exhuast so I say ok ill show them what a real car sounds like and rev my gts monstrous growl to about 5k (i have muffler delete) and get a thumbs up from both of them. They keep revving and both launch on green (mods I did NOT participate in this race) but watched in horror as the z06 made short news of the gto. A scene from jurrassic park where the trex ate the goat came to mind lol. I reckon I could have taken the gto but know better than to street race, the z06 on the other hand would have made my car look like a 4cyl mustang, man its so fast! anyway just thought id share...

You didn't really expect the gto to keep up with the Z6, did you?

Thumbs up, though, for showing some restraint.

You gotta love those GTO guys, 400 hp, yet their cars look like Grand Ams and you totally would not be surprised to see one in a trailer park. Butt ugly.

I really didnt expect them to race but still knew the gto had no chance. even if the z06 had short shifted and missed every gear twice it still would have been ahead by a mile it was just that bad of a beating. I gotta admit though that new z06 is one sexy looking beast...its just too bad its a chevy

If the Z06's were only 50g's I'd be driving one right now. Start at over 65k sticker, and good luck finding a new one for that. Base vettes (with a few options anyway) after 50g's.
