cool water neck any one evey use one?

just installed a coolant filler in uper radiator hose. and noticed my filler neck is corroded and leaking. saw this in summitracing.com. anyone use one yet?? View attachment 499620 chris

im using a cheap cast one from autozone ($10) and it comes tapped for a water temp sensor

i have the ford racing chrome one...same thing as above has plug for temp sensor and its cheap, think i paid twenty

Two things. WIth the cheap cast one, it RUSTS quick!

And peeps have had issues with the FRPP units leaking. Sanding/abrading the chrome off the hose union areas seems to help.

i have the chrome Frpp one and haven't had an issue. no leaks at all

the one that devloped the leak after 1 year was the chrome ffrp. It is not leaking from the mating surface, it has a spot about 1.25" diameter rusted through. JUNK but the problem is i dont run antifreeze just water weter (cuz the race track frowns on anti freeze). will try the 100.00 dollar one its just money right? mabye I will just let the race track frown at me and run some antifreeze also. chris

yep, i painted mine as soon as it came out of the box

Did you figure out anything to do about treating the inside of the housing? That was my larger concern........
