how do you bleed the system after the coolent flush if you have your heater core/blower removed?

i think one of you guys mentioned some sort of tool?

^ if you have a short loup where the inlet/outlet of the heater hose connections are (as in the inlet is directly connected to the outlet), then the WP should push any air out .

just curious, why do you need the heater on? theres no heater valve like some rangers and explorers. i guess theres no hurt in having the heater on.

just fill up the reservoir with the cap open, run the car until the thermostat opens, sohc - upper radiator hose will get hot
dohc-lower radiator hose will get hot. if your unsure, your high speed fan should come on a few minutes later. if you leave your a/c on- the low speed fan will come on as soon as your a/c compressor engages, so leave the a/c off.
leave it running for a few minutes, top off fluid. cap reservoir. recheck reservoir when cool

I believe the heater engages the heater core, which in turn heats the engine faster, making the whole process you just mentioned go a lot quicker

the reason you leave the heater on is you can feel if you have stong heat. it makes it easier to tell if your bled or not. many times the temp guage will be normal and the radiator hoses feel fine and you turn on the heat ICE cold. then you have to rev the car to get heat. thats air pockets. and since the heater core tends to trap air pockets it is helpfull to know if you got the air out of there.

so you don't NEED to have the heater on, but it does make it easier to tell when it's fully bled

I'm going to be pulling one or two of my plugs today, to check and see if i'm getting any unheard/unfelt detonation, since i'm running 16* of timing. I haven't heard any detonation yet, so i'm glad about that!

Any advice/hints for this would be appreciated

So you poured it down your bathtub? Wow lol thats a first...we have a rock driveway that soaks up water VERY well. So I just let it go on the ground .

Err when you change your oil, do you put it down your bathtub drain too?

nooo.. I take it to Auto Zone or somewhere that accepts oil.

I would've left the coolant on the ground, but I didn't want my dogs to lick it up and get sick So I made sure it was completely disposed of and washed away before I let any animal near the area

either way i can still bleed the system it will just be more trouble is what you guys are saying right?

It will be easier for you to bleed without the core. The core can be tough to get air pockets out of. Just feel the hoses and make sure all of them are warm.

yea i wanted to delete it. i dont drive the car in the winter. it just sits in the garage.

i looking for some weight reduction moves, because i just lost one. i just started another thread about the battery. have to go back to the stocker. looking for weight reduction in other places/ things i dont need.

i wanted to remove the heater core and the a/c condenser. the condenser i left in when i took out the a/c.

however if it is going to be too much trouble doing coolent flushes i might pass.

Ahhh ok....yea take that puppy out of there . And you will have almost 0 issues with air pockets in your cooling system .

We just removed my heater and the rest of my A/C a few months ago....in the 66 ofcourse . Who needs that crap when the car isnt a DD .

Sometimes I think about removing the A/C and heater out of my car.. I never use it.. but I figure there will be a time when I do need it
