Changed my plugs today, gapped them at .38 (gettin ready for nitrous), but i had a problem with the #4 Plug. As soon as i pulled it there was coolant ALL over the COP and plug itself. I read all the search threads on coolant and plugs, and the closest i got was svttech saying "coolant in the #4 plug well is a common problem", but never explained why. This is ONLY this plug. All the others were dry and good. I fired her up and she runs great, as it did before I changed them. Dont notce much with the .16 gap difference either, but idk if I shouldve anyway. Lil help here as to why theres coolant in there? I can def smell it when i pop the hood and run her..

and feel free to tell me I need a new manifold.. Hello Trickflow :D

but really, anybody ever have this happen? ive never heard of this on an 02

hmm.. i just wonder why everything "looks dry", but than in a hole covered by a COP, there all the coolant sits. And Randy, where is this hose you speak of? Hopefully thats it, but why would it leak? cracked or not connected properly?

there are 2 hose's at the right rear, comming from the heater core and going to the engine. a clamp could be loose or a hose could be going bad, also on 2001 up the have a plastic "quick disconnect" at the heater core which has o-ring and can also leak

I had one of the heater hoses blow @ 50k miles (one closest to passenger side) and left 2 gallons of coolant in my engine bay, the rear of my car (bumper/trunk lid), and the engine bay. I would def check em before they blow out and make a real mess. Save yourself the trouble and order those 2 hoses from the dealer because all the places that carry them don't have the quick connect adapters crimped on and they are all cut to fit annoying crap
