Coolant Smell

when i turn the heat on you can sort of smell coolant. still blows hot, but sometimes if i put the defrost on the windshield it will start to fog a little. is it my heater core?

sounds very much like it - check and see if you can feel any damp carpet below it.

Check the weep hole under the hood on passenger side of the firewall. If you see coolant coming out then it's time to change out the core.

Yep, it is a lot easier to change than you would think though.
