I am runnin a Vortech blower on my motor. It seems to run a bit warmer than Id like at times. Shell stay at 180* most of the time. But once I get on the car, sit in traffic or idle in one place for a few minutes after gettin on the car she tends to run up to like 205*. It has a new tstat, clutch fan and fan blade(stock), hoses, coolant w/ water wetter,Water pump, the Rad is 4 yrs old and is a no name 3 core. And the guage is a aUtometer one. I do know the blower does add some heat to the bay. Just wondering what others are doing to solve this issue.

how corroded is the radiator then, if you can see buildup stuck on the cores then you need to get it rodded out. i don't think aftermarket water pump cool any better either so usually if the pump and thermo are good that it is your radiator or shroud

make sure the ground is good on the gauge, that will raise it 10 ot so degrees. also make sure it has no air in the system.

I had it running for a while when I first filled the system cap off. I never did see it burp. Anyone know a good method to get air out? Rad had no corrosion that I could see. I was just thinkin maybe it was just a POS and after 4yrs time broke down. So a trip toa local rad shop may be due just to eliminate one issue.
Thanks for the input dastang2

to purge the system of air, you have to find the highest part of the system and fill it until the water starts pouring out of that spot then close it off while water is still going into the radiator. that is why on my 95 v6 there is a bleed off valve on the intake, it is the highest part of the system. i open the valve and fill it until it comes out, then close the valve. many times air in the system screws with the gauge and can mess up the heads, i've heard. i know that it messes the readings up though. i want to put an inline valve on the top radiator hose on my 89 so i can purge the air on it, for sure that would be the highest part of the system
