Finished the cooling upgrade today.

New 180* stat
Fluidyne Radiator
New Hoses
New Ford Pump.
Removed A/C All hoses and condenser
Installed hi/low manual fan switch
70/30 Antifreeze/Distilled water

Runs nice and cool 180-190

The manual switch will probably not be permanent as that I am having the car tuned and they will reprogram the fan cut on off temps.

I am considering a trip back to the track. My KB blower was shipped today and I wont get another chance at the track unless I go Fri or Sat.
I would like to advance the timing up a little now that it is running 30-40* cooler. In addition to shedding about 25-30# of additional weight.

I really would like 1 12.xx run N/A

Was the car running hot, or were you getting paranoid? Mine hangs right around 200 with a completely stock cooling system and 50/50 mix.

Glad everything worked out ok for you.

I was in the same boat as you with high temps.

After heads & cam install mine was too hot in the Texas summer but the Fluidyne and Stewart high flow pump cooled things down quite a bit.

In addition its part of my blower upgrade.

I recommend you keep the manual switch. I have a similar cooling set up and it actually runs too cool except during the day it'll run normal. I gotta swap out my stat to a warmer one. If I kept the fan on, it proably wouldnt go past 160*. At night on the highway its like 160*. Runs too cool. I prefer it stay around 180*. I can let it get 200* if I wanted and keep the fan off, but 2 minutes with the fan on and its back down to 180*. I love my sn95 fan
