Core support difference?

My buddy needs a new core support in his 91 GT, and I know a guy parting a 87 out, but from what I read the 90-93 core support is different then the 87-89. Can I use the one from the 87 on a 91? Thanks in advance.

PM one of the Mods (85ragtop, Killercanary, Mustang5L5, Celeb, FrankenStang, FastDriver ) and ask them to move it to 5.0 Tech. You’ll get a lot more responses to your question.

Technically you could use an earlier year core support. The only difference between them that I'm aware of is this.. The 90-93 has provisions for mounting the crash sensor and the other difference is the bumper support mounts to the core support itself while the 79-89 have slide in mounts that go into the frame rail. dimensionally they are the same.
