I'm looking at a 66 gt which supposedly has the A code engine. The VIN is A as it should be.
But here's what's wierd. The engine looks redone, but it's got valve covers with the script lettering that says "powered by ford" and the air cleaner looks somehow bigger than it should be--taller and with a tube or something coming down from the snorkel.
The first thing I thought of is that it's a truck engine or something. Anyway, it doesn't look right.
Does anyone know what these valve covers should be on?
Then I gotta figure out if it's the wrong engine, or just goofy VC's.
