I'm taking my 07 GT Premium for a few warranty repairs:
1. clunky front end
2. Noisy clutch pedal (sounds like an electrical switch is being tripped every time I push in the pedal) I don't know if this is normal, but I heard it for the first time this week and it happens every time.
3. Corrosion on the wheel all around the center caps on all four wheels. This is alarming because I only have 1100 miles (that's right; one thousand one hundred) on the car!!! These are the split spoke clear coated 17 in wheels. Is this a common problem? I just can't believe this is happening this soon! Are other wheels less prone to corrosion and pitting?
Thanks, as always, for your help.

Spdfreak,
Thanks for the response. The corrosion is right on the wheel itself, surrounding the center cover. Very ugly and disappointing! Plus, what's going to happen in the next 10,000 miles???!!!

clutch pedal noise seems to be normal. Mine does it. It's the clutch position sensors for the ECU I would imagine. You can only hear it when you're sat in the car with no engine running tho. On mine, it's not loud enough to hear when driving.

There is a cruise cut-out switch in the clutch that has also been blamed for that noise I couldn't tell you from personal experience though as I have the automatic. As for oxidation on the wheels I've never heard of that on these cars this early in their life span. My Bullitts get the usual brake dust but nothing that won't just wipe off. Maybe the dealer will let you trade up to something better. Good luck.

Hit the nail on the head. Cruise control cut-out switch is the best explanation for it.

I don't think it's telling the computer when the clutch is pushed in because my car wont even turn over until the clutch is literally on the floor and mine clicks about 4 or so inches (depressed) from when it is completely let out.

Clunky front-end is a TSB, that should be fixed no questions asked. I had the same problem and got it fixed. Just make sure that they do a front end alignment afterwards. Mine was slightly off.

Knock on wood, i love my car.

Oh, okay. I misunderstood. I thought you were talking about the rotors. If it's the wheel itself, it sounds like warranty issue.
