Well I have a T-5 out of a 91 Fox body laying around. the convertor is going south in the AODE...I need to get someone to check out the T-5, it was sitting in a shed for a couple of years. If it is alright how much am I looking at for the conversion? clutch, clutch cable, manual pedal set, flywheel, etc.
Do I need to change the bellhousing and input shaft or can I make this one work?
I just hate buying a new convertor when I really want the T-5 anyway...but money is tight.

i havnt priced it individually, but i think they have a rebuilt T-5 swap kit for 1300, and i know you cant use the same bellhousing as the fox mustangs have since the shaft is a different length on our cars, plus i cant get installation for under 100 anywhere ive asked which= do it myself, plus you should get a new clutch and throwout beraring whilw your in there, and most guys suggest an aftermarket dhifter and aftermarket quadrant... thats another 400 ish, if your gonna do it yourself and the trans is in ok shape, you should be able to do it for 600-700 junkyard parts and new of what i mentioned above

pieced mine together, used tranny/bell/shifter/flywheel (resurfaced) and the rest of the parts were new and so far its lil over 1200 (shipping on the tranny and other big parts drove the price up a bit)

I did a swap a few years ago on a vert and I don't exactly know how much I spent because the tranny was for a 93- and I had a 95 so I had to buy a 93 bell and have my DS extended. I also bought an aluminum cable quadrent and a B&M ripper shifter and B&M billit shift ball. I never did swap the wiring I just installed the reverse lights and left the auto wiring ziptied underneath. I also had to find the T4M0 computer because the auto computer caused overheating in the computer. It was not an overnight project for me so make sure you have all the parts you NEED before you start the install.

there is a guy in st. louis who is doing my swap and is going to do it for a straight 1000 this is including all used parts, anything you want new is additional. he gets the king cobra clutch for 150 plus an adjustable quadrant. all together i should have about 1300 into the swap, and thats labor included.

from the places I have called the parts prices range from $950 to $1500 without the tranny and $1700 to $2500 with a tranny included.
The fox T-5 will work with a fox bell housing and a fox clutch fork, Probably need to have a driveshaft made though...
