Cost to replace a convertible top?

I was looking at buying a 94 Mustang GT 5.0 vert, and i was wondering how much it costs to get a newt op for it. He says its in fair to poor condition, so how much does a new top run me, (top only) and (top + installation). I know many out there have bought new tops, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I just had my top replaced on my 89. It was cut with a knife, the stereo and my cd's were stolen. Insurance quoted $850. That was for the top only. I changed from white to black and also replaced the rear curtain (about $150) to match. I paid the guy in cash and he only charged me $850. This is the 3rd top that the upolstry shop has done for me and he is great to work with. Im not sure how much a 94 and up top costs, but its probably a little more...

No, there are several. Cant name them, but I looked over 3 different types before I went with the one that I used. There are different materials.
