Could this be the reason for my low compression??? Plus project update PICS!PICS!PICS

Hellooooooooo. So far everything was done by yours truly by himself FOR THE FIRST TIME! I dont think im doing that bad for a newbie like myself. Anyways, if anyone remembers I had a lil compression problem in my #8 cyl. Some of you suggested rings, some said headgasket and some even said intake manifold bolts. Well im glad I didnt just do the headgasket cause check this out, think this is my problem??? MUAHAHAH

Yep hole right through the piston!! :D So thats gonna be fun. Now I start putting together prices of what I can do. So far heres my ideas: 1.Replace the stock h/c with some ported trickflows from vib, get an anderson cam, and buy a used shortblock for cheap(maybe). 2. Bore this block, get forged pistons, b&b it and have a 306, but I would have to use stock heads/cam again. This could suck since Im leaving for college soon so new heads wouldnt be for a while after that. I cant think of any other ideas for this for now but well see. What do you think I should do?

Heres My new brakes I installed a couple days ago, they are the 99+ PBR calipers that I painted up nice. Look pretty cool IMO. The decals I got from ebay from a guy that was really cool and has GREAT customer service. Ill link yall later for that.

My interior gutted for the new carpet and stuff(maybe summit seats, i dunno now that I need a new shortblock).

Whatchyall think I should do here? Plan is to get everything cleaned up and ready to go, and then I leave for france for 3 weeks. In france Ill order all the parts I need and by the time I get home Ill have a little time to install it all before I leave for college. Hopefully Ill have the time here.

Since you are already boosted I would do a built 306 and maybe get some GT40's for it if you HAVE to do the H/I/C now. I would get a solid short block since you are already boosted you can always change your top end combo later alot easier then pulling the whole engine etc...Thats just me thou. *shrug*

I was gonna paint them but decided to throw the rims back on the car and pull the engin instead, just didnt take the tape off yet.

As for painting the calipers I just snaded them down so they were smooth,sray 4 coats of high temp alluminum colored paint, 1 coat of clear, sticker and then 2 more coats of clear. Came out nice IMO.
