Could too much timing cause a car to run hot?

You have probably done this but here we go. First, burp your system and you may have to drain and fill it again. Second, I think it has only happened to me. The two hoses runing into your heater core one of mine went bad but I couldn't tell it from the outside and/or feel. There is a steel wire mesh inside them and when it collapsed on itself it closed the passage way.

I don't know if that is exactly how it came from the factory but that is what my car had on it. Now even with a 347, plus a HUGE radiator, I can sit in good old Tennesse heat and the temp gague never gets past O.

I had a small leak at the clamp on the hose but other than taking one off, which is a royal pain the in you know what, that is the only way I think it would work. I still had heat but it never got hot just warm.

I will warn you I tried everything I could think of and what a shock there is a special tool for that hose for removal. It made my life much easier after I found that out.
