Is it possible to convert a Mustang coupe ('94) to a convertable?
I'm sure there are structural issues. Are the frames the same and just added support in the body or is the convertable frame also different?
Can I seperate the body from the frame, then re-weld a convertable body onto it?

To be honest... It is possible... they may have changed this but before all cars from factory were hardtops.... All made the same exact way pretty much... They were then sent to another place to get turned into a convertible. Think about this if you dont have power seats you usually still have the wires under the carpet... I am pretty sure frame would hold up and so forth and can be done but dont! My friend did it to his 94 talon TSI... It isnt about frame strength and BLAH BLAH!!! Its more about any little mistake while cutting is crucial... His top dont fit worth crap leaks water!!! POOR JOB! If you wanna do anything do a targa top!!!

I believe briefly in the 1980s, Ford's Mustang convertibles were actually coupes that Ford sent to an aftermarket company, who basically cut the top off 'em. :D
