This is why the motor hasnt went in yet im having to add a 1/2 thick flange to get the compressir housing off the #1 primary and off the spark plug wire.
other than that im going for a fire date of next weekend.....if my part come in on time.

I couldn't find a big enough spacer so I bought 2 and welded them together. Man that thing is looking good.

Does the ranger bracket and tensioner line up with the stock crank pulley?

Are you going to seperate the 2 parts of the water pump and make it a single groove?

I havnt put the belt on yet but it is the same setup as a ranger motor which is the same set-up we use(im not using PS)...hope i dont have any problems...but im gonna leave the water pump pulley as is.. my spacer is 1/2 which should be enough room to get is out of the way...i dont know if i want to weld mine on...or just run a real long bolt through them.

The ranger bracket set I have here doesn't line up unless you use the crank pulley too....I thought. I removed the part of the water pump pulley that I didnt use.

1/2" did it for me just fine. I just got grade 8 studs from the hardware store that were that much longer.

Hey my 22nd birthday is thursday. Am I going to convince you to head to the track to see if I can acheive a 3 year long goal?

hmmmm..i didnt notice that anything was off...i think my stuff came from a 94 2.3 ranger...if not my buddy has the rest of the motor laying on the ground.

your not much older than me...i'll be 21 in oct...sat will be my hunting day to tie up the odds and ends...and sunday its going in. Id love to come see you run....

Mine was all from a 93. I thought the ranger crank pulley was a different offset and wouldn't interchange from crank to crank because of the crankshaft sensor.

Well I'm running "thursday" so you're good to go.....
well i believe the cranks are the same just the ranger uses the cranks trigger...so the pulley is offset out further....it should slip right over the crank...and all line right up.........i hoppe.

how did that ranger alt bracket end up working out for ya? i have a rotated upper and my alternator has been repositioned into that spot as well but its a homemade bracket and i dont trust the integrity of it too much, plus that one looks nicer. of a 94 you say?

BTW looks like your project is working out great...it looks great thats for sure. post up some more pics.

thanks
