I just got my car back after a rebuild and he stroked it to a 5.0, added comp cams XE270AH and custom ported heads. I have the original plastic intake and today as i was driving home i tested the car out and hit 10lbs of boost and the intake cracked. I plan on buying one with an aluminum cross over to replace this. How much hp is the stock intake able to hold? Did i break because of the 10psi?
Also the car is running really rich now and the previous tune was setup for 42lb injectors and these are still in the car, why would the car run rich, i would think it would run lean now that its taking in so much more air?
My shop also mentioned that i need a boost retard is that really needed for our cars? Isnt a tune able to take care of all the boost retarding?
