Couple questions about my TKO 600..

I got a few questions about my TKO 600 here...

1)What is the fluid capacity supposed to be on this thing? I'm gonna be putting tranny fluid in it tomorrow, so it would be good to know.

2)Can I fill this thing through the shifter the same way as a T-5?

3)Where on the transmission is the fill plug?

Anyhow..thanks for any help you guys can give me.

It's rated @ 3 quarts, but I found take just a tad less. Yes you can fill it through the shifter, only way to do it if you ask me, and the fill plug is on the passenger side but like I said, I would use the shifter. What I do is make sure the car is level, leave the fill plug out, and start filling it up through the shifter. If I remember right it took just under 3 quarts (Pennzoil Synchromesh) til it started to come out of the shifter plug hole, which is when it's full. cool?

(approximately 5.28 pints) and as Jason 302 stated above just add synchromesh thru the shifter housing.... but when i filled my tko i just poured 3 qts of GM synchromesh in thru the shifter housing...i never removed the fill plug. and ensure you have the speedo housing installed before filling...

Yeah, I have the speedo cable, driveshaft and reverse lights all hooked up to the tranny already. Basicly, it's all good to go now except transmission fluid.

Looks like I bought too much tranny fluid though (5quarts). Oh well, just gives me a good excuse to change the fluid after I get it all broken in ;)
