couple suspension questions

ordered the coilover kit from upr, and got a pair of kyb struts to put em on. i ordered the fox struts so i could have more travel room, but they dont seem right, it takes very little pressure to compress the strut, and it returns REAL slow. is this normal? the struts i looked at from autozone seemed alot harder to compress, and returned alot faster.

also, whats the most drop i can do without caster camber plates? ill be gettin them in a little over a week, but i need to drive the car NOW, and dont wanna kill my tires.

kyb's suck. i dunno what brand/valving autozone uses, but i would stay away from them as well.

you can usually go 1.5" without needing cc plates, but you should still get an alignment. so that means another alignment after the cc plates. just wait till you can do it right.
