About NITTOs: Which model are the "standard" ones that most people on here use for the rear on their daily driven stangs? Im gonna be ready for a set soon and I see "extreme", 555, etc.

About Kumho's: which are considered the best "all around performance/decent weather tire for the rear.??? Again, looking around, I see 721, ecsta, etc.

Thanks

RC, I have a buddy that runs Kumho's on his daily driver VW GTI. He autocrosses it pretty regularly in the summer. He used to run the ECSTA 712's as an all season tire (minus snow, which you probably don't worry much about).

He currently runs the ECSTA MX, which is a softer tire. He likes the MX for dry track events, but says the 712's were better for treadlife and ability in rain.

That's what I gathered by reading the descriptions....Find out if the 712's hooked pretty decent, even if not quite as good as MX...I need to worry about rain, although I dont drive too much in it anymore.
