Does anyone know where I can get a 4" or 4 1/2" cowl hood ( NOT cobra R ) for 94-95. Keanan makes a 3", but the specs on their hood will not clear my set-up. Your help and input is greatly appreciated. Thanks

tried ABC Exclusive, but all they have is the cobra R cowl. Cervini's, perhaps? I know they make a nice 4"/5" cowl for the foxes, so might wanna see if they've got one for the sn95.

Cervini

I had a Cervini hood on the car. I sold it. It would not clear my new set-up, because it had an smooth under lining. It was only 2 1/2 " over stock, it is the only cowl hood Cervini sells for 94-98. It was a nice hood. Thanks for all the input. Let me know about the other company in the magazine.

I don't know about the hood, but on a side note, what the heck do you have in there that you need a 4.5" cowl? Must be one badass motor.

whats under hood

Well right now I have a A4 block, stroked to 347 w/TFS R-series box intake & T-trim ( it is 13 1/2" from block to top of intake ). I have a 427 ( Man O War block ) being built by Bill Mitchell, it should be here in a month or so. I am either going to run a YSi or Big Ass turbo. If anyone wants me to send pics of the 347 please PM me your email.

I'm not saying that you're going to like this hood, but scroll down to their carbon fiber cowl hood.

Maybe you went too far & skipped over the one he was referring to..... it is the EXACT carbon fiber hood that I had on my old '95 GT. I painted it yellow to match my car. I loved it. I like those better than the Cobra R that I now have (on my '94 GT). I'm sure it will clear your setup, but I don't know. I know it was taller than my current Cobra R....

I can't believe that you're needing this much clearance with that box r intake, but here you go, this should do it...haha

Harwood

I am probably going to have to get the harwood 4" cobra r hood because no one makes a regular 4" cowl. My intake set-up is 13 1/2 " tall and when I put the 427 in next year I am going to gain around another 1 1/2" . When I put the 427 in I am going to put in different motor mounts so the engine will sit lower about 1" to 1 1/2", then i will be back at around 13 1/2" Thanks for all the replys any other replys will be greatly appreciated.

Yea If thats you with the yellow car with the TFS box i remember what it looks like. Yes they are a very tall set-up. Most hood won't come close. Harwood Cervinis and mr. body kits won't have anything like you need. Sounds like really you need a custom made 4.5" Cowl hood. Would prolly cost a pretty penny. I would love to see one. I think the single cowl regular cowl hood would look great on our cars. Just no one makes them that are big enough.
