Cowl removal ?

You have to pull the hood, the fenders, the windshield, and the dash. Drill all those little spot welds out and it will come off.

This is hours and hours and days worth of work. I suggest bumping it out as best as you can and then filling her up with bondo.

I had the same thing happen to me on the highway at 5:00 am on my way to work. I forgot the hood pins and the hood came up, smashed the @#@%$ out of my brand new autometer fuel guage, cowl cover, hood and worst of all the cowl. I luckly slowed enough that the hood stopped 1" from my roof and didn't crash.

I looked at the same problem too and it simply isn't worth the work. I ended up taking a small hammer and banging it out from underneath what I could reach. Now I'm gonna fill the rest and sand it out. Hope it works!
