From what my dad told me, my stang have a cracked A-frame. If my terminology is wrong, its where the strut rods mount of the frame. So my question is how do I fix this? Also my car is a '70 Mach 1 with a 351 cleveland.

lol actually no, this is how i got the car. so your guess is about as good as mine on how it got cracked.
oh.... well, first go punch the guy you bought it from in the face for messing up a '70 mach 1. Next, take it to a body shop and have them look at it. Go to numerous body shops that deal SPECIFICALLY with classics. (no modern body shops - they'll f*** it up) Get your best price and take it from there, making sure the guy knows his ****. If you have any more alignment problems, it's b/c the guy screwed up the A-frame.

I don't recommend it... It's always best to fix any subframe/chasis damage first. Rebuilding the suspension doesn't make sense because it may (probably will) be necessary to remove some or all of the suspension before doing the repairs. Also, worst case scenario: if you find there is more damage than the car is really worth, you can bail on it without having wasted a bunch of time or money on the suspension.monsterstang70 said:
Well depends on how bad they are. You might need to weld the cracks shut then weld flat bar along their sides. I did this on a 67 back in the 80's to reinforce them. Or if they're REALLY bad, they might need replacing altogether. If you also need a pair of shock towers, I have a set that I removed from a 68 Stang. i'll let you have em cheap, say $20 + shipping. I no longer need them, they're just takin up space.
lol yeh I know shock towers are pretty cheap but putting them in is where the cost add's up FAST.
