OK i did something really stupid! i fishtailed in my car and hit a small tree. I basically cracked my front bumper, but nothing serious. I need to replace my bumper and im looking for new ones. I have seen "bumper covers" but dont they just cover the original bumper? i need a WHOLE new bumper(front platic peice) to put on my 03 GT stang. I found one on ebay that came off a 2000 GT, that will fit my 03 right? please help me!

if you are looking to fix it cheap.... try www.bumpers.com. they sell bumper covers that were made by ford, but have a small paint defect or something, usually unoticeable apparently. i haven't tried them, but am thinking about it as i need to replace my cover as well. other things to try....look at the classified sections of this site and other mustang sites. and i dont know about aftermarket bumper covers like streetstang said, but if you wanted to go OEM, note that the 99-01 cobra bumper cover is usually cheaper than the GT. Something to think about.

what are some sigs to look for to see if i have severley damaged my car? i hit a skinny tree fishtailing at about 10-15mph, and i killed the tree..any warning signs i should look for? my airbags DID NOT blow by the way

 ok, i dont feel that dumb anymore, but i wont tell my story :p

ANYWAYS, either take the whole cover off, orsomehow try to peek in there to see if you broke the hard foam block thing. You just might need the cover.

and it takes a greater hit to make those air bags come off

Bumpers.com is excellent! Bought a new cover from them this past November after I cracked mine in a snow storm. The imperfection was minimal; basically a chip the size of a pencil tip. One dot of touch up and it was like new. Installation was a breeze as well. Took my time and it still only took about an hour to change. 100 percent color match and fit (as its OEM "rejected" bumper). I'm
