Scored me a sweet deal on Craigslist yesterday.
A guy had a Ford Racing aluminum driveshaft and was asking $125.
I met him yesterday and threw an offer of $60 at him to see if he'd bite.
Shockingly he said, "sure, why not". I just had to share that with somebody that actually might care. My wife has no clue what a good deal is for Mustang parts.

Awesome! I love it when you can find that guy who just wants to get rid of something. On the same subject, can I interest anyone in some old, slow computers!?

I think I might have punched you in the face for that low ball offer, and wasting my time. 125$ is a good price. I sold mine for 150$.

The 92-93-94 Aerostar AWD has a very similar shaft to the Ford Racing unit, except it is 3" in diameter compared to the 3.5 " Ford Racing unit. Get out your tape measure or piece of string and make sure which one your bargain is.

Use a piece of string and wrap it around the driveshaft. Make a mark on the string where the ends overlap. Measure the length of the string:
On the 3" AeroStar driveshaft the string will be 9.42" or about 9 7/16" long.
On the Ford Racing 3.5" driveshaft the string will be 10.99" or about 11" long

No I have one in my vert, didn't really notice a difference in my old car with the aluminum one so I sold it.
