crank pulley question

i bought a new balancer and i need longer bolts. my local hardware store has the allen key cap bolts in stainless steel but not in grade 8 should i just get hex bolts that are grade 8?

Hex bolts might not fit if your using an underdrive pulley. If they fit then go with those. Otherwise the regular Allen head bolts will be fine. They don't really have to be grade 8, unless your turning a blower, then maybe.

I'm pretty sure mine aren't grade 8 and they're hex bolts. If I had to buy new ones, I'd probably get grade 8 just because. If there isn't a reason to get the allen bolts, I'd go w/ some grade 8 hex head bolts, but that's probably not necessary.

The best bolts I have used for crank pulleys that are interchangable with ALL underdrive pulleys as well as stock is header bolts.
