When removing the bolts from leaf springs, please be aware that there may be a nest of some sort. In my case, it was a hornets nest; actually two! They were both on the drivers side, ( I guess they liked me), and I thought they were empty after I mashed them with my socket extension. A few more twists of the wrench and I felt something crawling on my arm. Hmmm. After shaking the bee off of my arm, I made the trek to the chemical room, (under the sink), and the only thing I had was ant spray. O.k., that'll work; after all, there just ants that fly with an attitude. I sprayed the offending area and went back to work. A minute or so later, another bee dropped onto my arm struggling ro get it's breath from the deadly ant spray. It did not sting me, but it did scare me bad enough to make me jerk and cut myself on the sharp metal under the car; no stitches, ( I was to drunk to drive to the hospital). Before it was over, there were four of the suicidal bees dropping onto me.
Why is this in the tech forum? Before getting to involved in under the car work, take a large sledhammer and knock the heck out of all sturdy frame points to eliminate pesky critters, or at least put them on warning that you are coming!!!!!
