My 98 Came without cruise control.

However we got a wheel with cruise and it had an extra connection which we had the wire for so I believe my car is max wired.

Now... In order for my cruise to work what would I need? Obviously the switch for both the brake and clutch but what else? I'd love to take my stang on road trips but without cruise it kinda sucks...

I'm not an expert on cruise, but I did manage to fix mine after the engine swap on my 99GT. Basically you need the proper deactivation switches as you mentioned, the cruise control servo (main unit) with matching accelerator cables, and a wire between your PCM and cruise servo. Drop me an email and I can send you the diagram I have for the 99+ cruise..
