I'm starting to experience the shifting difficulty that many of us have to go through with the TR-3650. I'm getting frustrated pretty quickly. I was planning on taking apart the Tri-Ax this weekend and adjusting the stopper bolts to see if it would help a bit. I think they may have loosened up over the course of the last couple months from the typical transmission vibrations. I have noticed a little 'play' in the shifter lately.

Just recently my clutch pedal has been making some creaking/crunching noises whenever I depess the pedal. It seems to coincide with the shifting issues. It's pretty weird. This morning the pedal made absolutely no noise and the Cobe shifted like butter. However last night, it was a completely different story.

Has anyone experienced this? Is there some sort of lubrication necessary somewhere? Is it a sign that my clutch is going? HELP!

look up under the dash and see if your stock clutch quadrant is broken....they are made of plastic and usually don't last very long...

If it's not, your cable might be getting worn also...

The stock CQ is junk and sometimes moves around. Try pulling up on the pedal with the car off and in first gear, may help it go back into place. May also want to look into an aftermarket clutch quadrant/firewall adjuster. Did wonders for my 04'. UPR makes a nice piece.

Cost?

How much would you expect to pay for a clutch quadrant? Is it fairly easy to install?

I definitely appreciate the input guys...

There are many different types of clutch quadrant. 1 hook, 2, 3, quick release, etc. I went with the triple hook quadrant with the new design UPR firewall adjuster. If you do go with a new CQ also do the firewall adjuster. Don't do one without the other.

The UPR Extreme firewall adjuster is $30 ( http://www.uprproducts.com/shopping/shopexd.asp?id=557 )

and the quadrant to go with it is $20 ( http://www.uprproducts.com/shopping/shopexd.asp?id=229 )
